FAYETTEVILLE, NC, UNITED STATES, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Combining a Decade of Military Leadership, International Engagement, Logistics Expertise, and Entrepreneurship With a Commitment to Service, Growth, and Purpose
Fayetteville, North Carolina — Breana Broad is a U.S. Army Civil Affairs Officer, logistics and international engagement specialist, and owner of B&C Real Estate and Married by Breana whose career reflects a decade of military service, leadership, adaptability, and commitment to making a positive difference. Throughout her time in uniform, Breana has developed experience across logistics, operations, civil-military coordination, international engagement, and leadership in complex environments while simultaneously building an entrepreneurial path in real estate and the wedding industry.
Breana began her military journey through the Simultaneous Membership Program with the South Carolina National Guard while attending The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. At the time, women represented only a small percentage of the student body, creating an environment that fostered resilience, close-knit camaraderie, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose.
While at The Citadel, Breana completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Spanish before being commissioned into the South Carolina Army National Guard upon graduation in 2020. Her academic background, particularly her Spanish studies, complemented her growing interest in international engagement and cross-cultural communication.
Over more than eight years in the National Guard, Breana served in roles including logistics officer, platoon leader, and directorate-level staff officer, supporting operations and logistics at scale. Her responsibilities included planning and executing mission-critical logistics, leading soldiers in maintenance and operational readiness, and contributing to high-level staff functions.
Her military experience also included a deployment to Africa lasting nearly a year, with approximately 9.5 months spent supporting multinational operations. Working in high-tempo and complex environments strengthened Breana’s leadership capabilities while exposing her to the challenges and opportunities associated with international operations.
In 2024, Breana transitioned into the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, where she serves as a Civil Affairs Officer. In this role, she works directly with foreign governments, municipal leaders, and partner forces to support governance, stability, humanitarian coordination, and capacity-building efforts.
Her Civil Affairs experience has included engagements with local institutions and partners across medical, security, and civil infrastructure sectors. She has continued to apply her logistics and staff leadership experience while contributing to regional missions that require communication, adaptability, coordination, and an understanding of diverse communities and organizational priorities.
Following a second deployment experience in Africa, where she also served in a deputy staff leadership role supporting operational coordination and logistics, Breana began transitioning out of active military service due to health challenges and a desire to shift her focus toward family and long-term stability. Her transition represents a significant new chapter after spending approximately a decade of her adulthood dedicated to a military career she deeply valued.
Alongside her military career, Breana has developed an entrepreneurial path in real estate. Since 2022, what began with personal homeownership evolved into rental property investment and eventually the establishment of B&C Real Estate Group.
Her experience in military operations and logistics has translated naturally into entrepreneurship, where organization, planning, accountability, communication, and long-term thinking are equally valuable. Breana also operates a wedding officiant business, further expanding her work beyond the military and allowing her to engage with people in meaningful moments of their lives. Across these different professional endeavors, she remains guided by the same principles that shaped her military service: hard work, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance.
Breana attributes her success to hard work, dedication, and a commitment to consistently pushing forward even in challenging circumstances. She believes in showing respect to others in every interaction and recognizing the value of teamwork, mentorship, and collaboration.
She also strives to reach out and support others whenever possible, recognizing that small acts of service and encouragement can have a meaningful impact. Ultimately, Breana focuses on making a positive difference each day through integrity, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose in both her professional and personal life.
The best career advice Breana has received is to work hard, achieve her goals, and then dream even bigger. She has carried that mindset throughout her career as a reminder that success is built step by step through discipline and consistent effort.
She has also learned not to limit herself. With dedication, resilience, and the right mindset, Breana believes people can pursue and accomplish opportunities that may once have seemed out of reach.
For young women entering the military or related fields, Breana emphasizes the importance of education and continuous growth. Her advice is simple: the more they know, the more they grow.
She encourages women to remain curious and eager to learn because every experience presents an opportunity to develop new skills and gain perspective. She believes continuous education, both formal and informal, is essential to personal and professional development.
Breana also encourages women to remain open and adaptable and to challenge themselves beyond their comfort zones. Her own career demonstrates how experiences in leadership, logistics, international engagement, and entrepreneurship can become building blocks for future opportunities.
As Breana prepares for her next chapter, she has also been reflecting on how military service prepares women for life beyond uniformed service.
She believes the military is still working to determine how best to transition service members into their next stages of life. For women in particular, she sees many different possibilities and challenges.
After spending the last 10 years of her adulthood in a career she absolutely loved, Breana is now thinking seriously about family and what that future could look like. She recognizes that the next chapter may require a different balance between career and personal life.
Her experience has prompted her to consider whether she should return to a career into which she can pour herself completely or pursue a path that provides more space to build a family and invest in the people closest to her. For Breana, this is part of a broader conversation about how women can transition from demanding careers while still pursuing meaningful personal goals.
The values most important to Breana in both her professional and personal life are authenticity, integrity, and perseverance. She believes in being her unique self and standing tall with pride in who she is and what she has accomplished while remaining grounded and humble.
She prioritizes being open and honest in her interactions because she believes trust is the foundation of any strong relationship or team. She also values perseverance and refuses to give up when faced with challenges, recognizing that resilience and determination ultimately drive growth and success.
Grounded in service, adaptability, cross-cultural experience, and an entrepreneurial mindset, Breana Broad continues to apply the lessons of a decade in military service across business and community roles. As she prepares for life beyond uniformed service, she remains committed to learning, growing, supporting others, and building a future defined by purpose, authenticity, and meaningful contribution.
