Breana began her military journey through the Simultaneous Membership Program with the South Carolina National Guard while attending The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. While at The Citadel, Breana completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Spanish before being commissioned into the South Carolina Army National Guard upon graduation in 2020. Her academic background, particularly her Spanish studies, complemented her growing interest in international engagement and cross-cultural communication.
Over more than eight years in the National Guard, Breana served in roles including logistics officer, platoon leader, and directorate-level staff officer, supporting operations and logistics at scale. Her responsibilities included planning and executing mission-critical logistics, leading soldiers in maintenance and operational readiness, and contributing to high-level staff functions.
Her military experience also included a deployment to Africa lasting nearly a year, with approximately 9.5 months spent supporting multinational operations. Working in high-tempo and complex environments strengthened Breana’s leadership capabilities while exposing her to the challenges and opportunities associated with international operations.
In 2024, Breana transitioned into the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, where she serves as a Civil Affairs Officer. In this role, she works directly with foreign governments, municipal leaders, and partner forces to support governance, stability, humanitarian coordination, and capacity-building efforts.
Her Civil Affairs experience has included engagements with local institutions and partners across medical, security, and civil infrastructure sectors. She has continued to apply her logistics and staff leadership experience while contributing to regional missions that require communication, adaptability, coordination, and an understanding of diverse communities and organizational priorities.
Following a second deployment experience in Africa, where she also served in a deputy staff leadership role supporting operational coordination and logistics, Breana began transitioning out of active military service due to health challenges and a desire to shift her focus toward family and long-term stability. Alongside her military career, Breana has developed an entrepreneurial path in real estate. Since 2022, what began with personal homeownership evolved into rental property investment and eventually the establishment of B&C Real Estate Group.
